SARKODIE NOMINATED FOR BET AWARDS

Ghanaian rapper, Sarkodie has been nominated for Best International Act (Africa) in the upcoming BET Awards scheduled for the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, July 2.  He was nominated alongside Nigeria’s Wizkid and Iceprince, Kenya’s Camp Mulla, Mali’s Mokobe and South Africa’s Lira. In 2011m Nigeria;s 2face and Dbanj were joint winners of the award category.
Rapper, Kanye West earned the most nominations with seven nods, six of which came from his ‘Watch the Throne’ collaboration with Jay-Z, who earned five nominations himself. Jay-Z’s wife and mother of 4-month-old daughter Blue Ivy, Beyonce, earned the second highest nominations with six.
The 2012 BET Awards will air be hosted by Samuel L. Jackson while Chris Brown and Nicki Minaj are confirmed to perform at the show.
